Inspiration for the home
When we moved in to our lovely house last year it needed a
lot of work. One of the major first things that needed tackling was the décor.
A boys bedroom in purple and pink with a dark red light shade didn’t go down
very well so we slapped on nice cream and soft green walls. The rest of the
room could wait till we had more time, money and ideas. The same with the study
which had dark blood red walls and a black lampshade and the playroom which was
multi-coloured, they all got the cream and flinging in of old furniture until
we had time. We’re slowly getting there! The playroom actually has somewhere to
store their toys and the main bedroom looks like a bedroom now. It’s the boy’s
rooms and the study which needs work.
So I’m slowly designing in my head my dream house for when
the mortgage drops (haha) and was introduced recently to Rogers Of York an
interior designs company who have not only have some fabulous showrooms but
also a website with samples of just some of their homeware you browse online
and plan your room before collecting.
The boys would love a jungle theme bedroom like these and
Rogers have a gorgeous bedroom furniture selection which would look amazing in
it. Just how brilliant does this Flexa Jungle look? Personally I would have
love a secret den under their bed. They might keep all the Lego in it!
Rogers of York also have a handy blog on their site which
is a great place to find inspiration. It’s full of useful tips such as Blinds
VS Curtains and an easy guide to flooring i.e. vinyl vs laminate vs tiles vs
carpets. It’s a great place to hit up for when you start designing your perfect
house or you just want a change round the house. Why not head over and see if you pick up any
little tips?
