Christmas Books

Imagination is extraordinary” “A child’s imagination is the most extraordinary of all and our role – with authors, artists, parents and others – is to help grow the imaginative potential of every child.” Egmont

Have you heard of Egmont Books? You might not recognise them but they are they are the fabulous people behind the likes of The Mr Men books and Thomas the Tank Engine. They create these wonderful worlds of books just the right size for chubby little hands learning to enjoy books.

We were lucky enough to receive 3 of their Fabulous Christmas books featuring some of the top children’s characters around at the moment. We had squeals of delight from our two children and demands to immediately open the Thomas book and read as soon as it arrived. Everything’s Rosie’s Last Snowball and the Mr Men Meets Christmas were a huge favourite with my 5 year who couldn’t wait to snuggle down and read. We’ve struggled to get my eldest to read aloud but Mr Men he dove straight in to read as the pictures had captured him immediately.

These really are fabulous and funky books and all priced under £3 so perfect as presents or stocking fillers. Plus their range is huge! We’ve had these now about a month and they are still being read regularly at bed time! And I suspect we’ll have to buy some more soon!
The pages are bright and cheerful as you can see and the same with the writing. The Mr Men book was slightly smaller but Jack was taken immediately buy it so I wouldn’t let you be put off by that at all.

Everythings Rosie and The Last Snowball

“When Big Bear wakes up from his deep winter sleep, he’s sad to find that he’s missed out on all the fun that snow can bring.
Rosie and her friends do everything they can to do recreate winter fun, but sledging and snow angels don’t work without snow. Will they find a way to cheer up Big Bear?”

Thomas & Friends Snowy Tracks
“The Island of Sodor is covered in a thick blanket of snow and the engines have been told to be careful and no to go over any big hills. Gordon doesn’t listen, he's sure that he'll be strong enough to steam over every hill he comes to.
But it isn’t long before Gordon finds out that snow is much more dangerous than it looks!”
Mr Men Meet Father Christmas
“When Little Miss Tiny secretly wishes she could visit Father Christmas she doesn’t expect her wish to come true. But magical things really do happen at Christmas and crazy things too when you’re with the Mr. Men and the Little Miss!
