A fabulous gift!

Where to start?!

Ask a lot of mums and one of the best gifts they could ask for it a clean house! So why not give this? I was incredibly lucky to get the opportunity to view Cleaning Gift Voucher thanks to Fuel my blog who do exactly this!

They offer a huge selection of vouchers you can purchase for the lucky individual from a 3 hour cleaning package at £39 to a pick and mix package (cleaning, oven, carpets etc) at £144. You select a gift amount and then it’s up to the individual to choose exactly what they’d like most! Being a new(ish) mum it’s safe to say I went for the 3 hours cleaning! Originally supposed to be 1 person for three hours my cleaner got stuck in traffic and was running late so instead they sent two cleaners for an hour a half.
It was fairly straight forward to process once I had the voucher number although I did get confused once but in the corner of the site there’s a lovely chat online option where someone can talk you step by step through. I did this find it a bit more useful than using the phone as I found it a little bit difficult to follow the person on the other end due to their accent and the line kept fading. I also got a bit confused as I had about four confirmation emails and three texts asking me to call to confirm when I believed I already had.
As to the cleaning when the people arrived they were very lovely and asked what I’d like them to do first. I opted as there was two of them to go for the bathrooms (one ensuite, family bathroom and cloakroom) and kitchen. I have to say I was slightly disappointed in the second cleaner ( the one who got the bathrooms) as he seemed to take a good while (over an hour) to clean the ensuite (shower toilet and sink) and broke the toilet brush and didn’t tell me so the family bathroom was only given a quick wipe round and the cloakroom none. However saying that he did do a good job as we have bad lime scale and that had vanished…but!
As to the kitchen that was great where they managed to clean this had been thoroughly done and I was very impressed with this although I did notice that she had used a scouring brush on my shiny chrome oven hood before she obviously realised. I think I would have preferred one cleaner in the end as I felt they were in an incredible rush.
House done, dog next!!

They had to come back three time for things they had forgotten! Despite this I think its an excellent gift. If I’d just had a baby, moved into somewhere new or even as a student I think this would be amazing!
To have someone clean up or clean the carpets or ovens which are the last jobs you ever find time was great! Its spurred me on to make more of an effort and to keep on top of it!
